ADOM Extras
I make no claims as to the capabilities or utility of any of these items. They were built separately from ADOM and have nothing to do with the official distribution. I make no claims to have tested any of these, nor have I screened them for unusual or potentially damaging behavior; use at your own risk. On the other side of things, I also have not received any reports of these add-ons behaving in inappropriate manners (if they do, please let me know so I can add it to the warning). For help with a particular add-on or aid, please contact that author directly, as neither myself (except as indicated) nor Thomas Biskup have anything to do with the maintenance of any of them.

Demos and Tutorials (Windows only)
Getting Started
The 2 Survive tutorials in one easy zipped package (309KB).
Survive1, part 1 (1-6)
Barry Kearns' tutorial on surviving the early game. This runs a fated character (drakish bard) through the completion of the Carpenter quest, so if you don't want to be spoiled as to how to complete it, don't look! Barry provides commentary explaining some of his actions and how they help. A very nice introduction to thoughtful playing, although I'd use First Aid a little more in the early game since that extra point can make a big difference. Watch Survive1 (406KB) for about a half-hour and see how to get started.
Survive1, part 2 (6-8)
Barry takes the same character and fleshes out the Village Dungeon, then heads off to the Infinfite Dungeon for a little character development (from 6 to 8). Survive1, part 2 (617KB)
Late/End Game
For those Windows users who want to see the Kearnsian play-style in action, Barry has provided us with this demonstration (269KB) of his hobbit monk with a load of restrictions:
1. The character may pick up, carry, and use only food, cash/gems, rocks, and the Orbs. All other objects need to be left on the floor, and the character must drop any that they possess at first opportunity. It's an executable (oog.exe) that starts in the Mana Temple and runs to his death.
2. No use of altars for determining b/u/c status. They can be used for sacrifices.
3. Only rocks may be equipped, and only in the missile slot. If possible, the cursed ring should be removed as soon as possible.
(The one exception I made to the above rules, was that the character was allow to wear a glass amulet on the Mana Temple level.... I'm not sure how winnable the game is without this stipulation, given the Archmage's behavior.).
